Annual Family Mardi Gras Festival! Join the Virginia Discovery Museum for an unforgettable evening of magic, movement, and merriment at Carnival, a family-friendly celebration of vibrant Mardi Gras traditions from around the world on Friday, Feb. 21 from (5:30-7:30 p.m.)! Experience an electrifying atmosphere where cultures collide as we bring to life the heart of New Orleans, the lively rhythms of Rio, the dazzlingly colorful masks of France, and so much more through games, activities, and crafts. Pick up your Carnival passport and discover festive customs from a dozen different countries, including crafting Brazilian-inspired wings, “feeding the glutton” in a European-inspired mini-golf game, throwing “oranges” in a Belgian-inspired tin-can toss, bending low in a Trinidadian-inspired limbo, and more.
Tickets are $18 per person with the option of a Family 4-Pack for $65. Proceeds support exhibit design, Sponsored Admission, and Scholarship programs.
